From the Hip: Support Nativity with a gift this Christmas

Dear parishioners and friends,

I am also so grateful that many of you are making plans for remembering Nativity in your charitable giving. As you’ve likely noticed, both Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Sunday this year.  While the longer Advent season is a blessing, the calendar also poses special challenges for our year-end financial position.

You see, Nativity is usually the recipient of extra gifts on Christmas Day in honor of Christ’s birth; when Christmas falls on a Sunday, there is a noticeable drop in this extra giving.  Please consider making a supplemental gift to Nativity (in addition to your stewardship giving) in honor of Christ’s birth.

For those of you with envelopes, you will find an extra envelope in your box.  For others, envelopes for this additional gift can be found at all vestibules/entrances.  You can also make a special Christmas gift online.
