Saint Paul Public Works will conduct citywide residential plow operations on Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day. This is NOT a Snow Emergency.
Drivers are asked to voluntarily move their vehicles off north-south residential streets on Tuesday and move vehicles from east-west residential streets on Wednesday. Normal parking rules will apply on all arterial (or main) streets throughout Saint Paul.
“We ask Saint Paul residents to help us by moving their cars on Tuesday and Wednesday so we can take full advantage of the sunshine and warmer temperatures to remove early season ice and snow. Our experience has shown when we remove ice early in the season it allows us to effectively clear the streets throughout the winter months,” said Kathy Lantry, Director of Saint Paul Public Works. “We hope to minimize the disruption for our residents by plowing during the weekday while many people are away from home.”
Tuesday, December 3: City crews will plow all north-south residential streets between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Wednesday, December 4: City crews will plow all east-west residential streets between 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Vehicles that are parked on these streets during plow operations will not be ticketed or towed, but we ask all residents to please move vehicles off the streets to help our plow operations break up some of the ice pack and remove the snow off our streets.
Vehicles that have been parked on the streets for more than 48 hours may still be ticketed and towed by the Saint Paul Police Department.
