October 27, 2017Sunday, October 29 is Priest Sunday! Let us pray for all priests in thanksgiving and praise to God for their courage and generosity. We would especially like to thank our own priests: Father Patrick Hipwell, or pastor, Father John Powers, our parochial vicar, Fr. Alen Kuss (each picured at right) and all the priests who offer their service to Nativity when they are able.
Please join us in the following prayer for priests, courtesy of the local Serra Club:
Almighty Father, we thank you for the vocations of Fr. Patrick Hipwell, Fr. John Powers, and all priests, and ask that you bestow your spirit of Fatherhood upon them ever stronger.
Lord Jesus, may they always look to you as an example of humility, service, and charity and serve to be your hands and feet in a most sublime way.
Holy Spirit, guide their words and actions as they seek to carry out your work in the world and especially through the sacraments.
Blessed Mother, intercede for them that they may be true sons and joyful servants of you and your son. Pray for us and for many more priests to work in the vineyard.
St. John Vianney, patron of priests, pray for our priests and all priests, that they may imitate your dedication to their vocation.
