My Dear Brothers and Sisters, Easter blessings to each and every one of you.
Mickey Nickelson, President of ACCW
It was my great honor and pleasure to attend the installation of Nativity of Our Lord parishioner Mickey Nickelson as president of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women at their annual convention April 30 in Shieldsville, Minnesota, along with Archbishop Bernard Hebda.
According to The Catholic Spirit, “The ACCW works with Council of Catholic Women groups across the Archdiocese [including our own NCCW here at Nativity] to support all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service.”
Along with our NCCW president Seanne Harris, we are all very proud to have one of our own in such an important role of leadership and service. Congratulations, Mickey — a great honor for a woman with a great heart for service!
You can learn more about Mickey and her path to this role

Leadership Change at Nativity School
As you may already know, Sandy Kane will take over leadership at our neighboring Holy Spirit School as principal beginning next school year, after eleven years as assistant principal at Nativity School.
I wish to echo the words of our principal, Kate Wollan, that Sandy has “served our community with grace, compassion, and wisdom,” and she will be greatly missed! Please join us as we wish Sandy well in her new endeavor.
Brennan Anniversary
A hearty congratulations are in order to Jerry and Cathy Clifford Brennan (pictured) who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday. They have also been members of Nativity for 50 years, as Jerry continues to serve on our parish board of trustees and finance council. Here’s to many more!
Finally, a very happy Mothers Day to all mothers in our parish community!
And may God bless your week.
Fr. Patrick Hipwell, pastor
