Governor Tim Walz has doubled down in his latest revised budget proposal to eliminate aid for nonpublic education, which would dramatically reduce our School’s resources.
The Governor’s proposed budget eliminates critical nonpublic pupil aid, which provides funding for textbooks, testing, counseling, nursing, and transportation for nonpublic school students.
These cuts amount to over $50 million per year — roughly $1,080 per student — placing a greater financial burden on families and potentially putting their school of choice out of reach.
Nonpublic pupil aid ensures equal access to essential educational resources and helps families afford the best education for their children.
Tell your state legislators to oppose these harmful cuts and protect our students!
