The Governor’s proposed budget eliminates critical nonpublic pupil aid, which provides funding for textbooks, testing, counseling, nursing, and transportation for nonpublic school students. 

These cuts amount to over $50 million per year — roughly $1,080 per student — placing a greater financial burden on families and potentially putting their school of choice out of reach. 

Nonpublic pupil aid ensures equal access to essential educational resources and helps families afford the best education for their children.
