Hello, my name is Sarah Aamodt. Fifteen years ago my husband John and I were looking for a parish in St. Paul to join. As it turns out, we didn’t have to search very far. We heard great things about Nativity from friends and neighbors and decided this was the place for us. In retrospect, joining Nativity was one of the best decisions we made as a young couple.
What began as just a place to go to church has become so much more. Our children have had a wonderful education at Nativity School, we have made lifelong friends, and the community has come to feel like home.
This August I’ll begin a job-share with Leah Driscoll in the Parish Office. I’m looking forward to assisting those in the community with their office needs and putting names to familiar faces.
As for my background, I grew up in the Como Park area very close to the Minnesota State Fair and I am an avid Fair-lover to this day. I met my husband, John, at Cretin-Derham Hall High School in Spanish class. From there I attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison, double majoring in Sociology and Social Welfare, and received a Specialist in Gerontology Certificate.
My husband John and I have 2 children: Claire, who will be a freshman at Visitation in the fall; and Nathan, who will be in 6th grade at Nativity School. In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at Nativity School in various ways, most notably chairing the Nativity County Fair in 2015.
