It’s “Announcement Weekend” for the 2021 Catholic Services Appeal, our annual opportunity to support the charitable work in our Archdiocesan community that is only made possible when all the parishes work together.
This year’s theme is “Together in Hope” as we seek to share Christ’s love with neighbors in need through ministries that serve the poor, support life, and strengthen the faith.
Your gift brings hope by helping provide:
Thousands with life-giving care via hospital chaplains;
12,000 people/week with fresh groceries and hygiene items;
1,200 hot meals monthly;
Over 50 seminarians studying to be future priests of our Archdiocese with tuition assistance, room, and board;
635 people with housing/emergency shelter each month;
28,000 Catholic school students with in-person learning;
33,000 young people with faith-filled outreach; and
1,300 women and families with pro-life support.
Contributions go directly to the designated ministries of the foundation, as well as back to our parish in the form of a rebate once we hit our goal — a rebate rate that increases once we exceed our total donation dollars from last year.
On a personal note, I’m honored to continue my role on the CSAF board of directors, in service to the good work it enables throughout the Archdiocese and beyond.
Next weekend, we’ll show you the annual (three minute) appeal video at each of the Masses, and I’ll invite you to make a financial commitment for 2021 to support the appeal and the ministries it supports.
Please refer to the flyer inserted into this bulletin for more information, or visit
www.csafspm.org to learn more. If you’re ready to give now, you can donate electronically at
www.GiveCSAF.org by selecting “Nativity of Our Lord-St. Paul.”
Thank you for your prayerful support!
First Reconciliation
Finally, please join me in congratulating our 2nd graders, who participated in the sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time a week and a half ago. May they continue to welcome God working in their hearts!
And may God bless your week.
