The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Nativity of Our Lord is again collecting clothing and household items.
A St. Vincent de Paul truck with eager helpers will collect your donations and deliver them to the Society’s St. Paul and Minneapolis thrift stores for sale to the public.
Bring your gently used clothing (all seasons) and household items — such as dishes, pots and pans, and small appliances. The most urgently needed items are blankets and winter coats.
“Gently used” clothes means that donated items need to be in good, clean, useable condition — things you’d be happy to give to a loved one.
While we can’t accept items that are broken or soiled, we are happy to accept clothing that is no longer in good condition, bagged and marked accordingly, for our recycling program.
Furniture can be dropped off at the St. Paul Thrift Store at 461 7th Street West. Contact us at (651) 227-1332 for more information. (Please don't bring furniture to Nativity.)
Our Thrift Stores make it possible for people of limited means to get items they urgently need. The two SVdP stores — one on Lake Street in Minneapolis and one on West Seventh in St. Paul — provide free or very low-cost clothes and home furnishings to 15,000 underserved people every year.
The cash generated by Thrift Store sales — from your donations — funds SVdP’s collection and free distribution of 4 million meals annually to food shelves all over the Twin Cities.
We've collected over 10,000 pounds of clothing and household goods in the past, and let’s do it again!
