Open OCIA Meeting with Deacon Russ Kocemba

All parishioners are invited to a special Open OCIA session in Steiner Hall as Deacon Russ Kocemba will come out of retirement to present his annual “Walk Through the Mass: Exploring Sacred Liturgy.”  

It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the rich Mass liturgy, and ask questions about the Mass along with our OCIA candidate and fellow parishioners.

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, or OCIA (formerly RCIA), is the way in which we welcome adults to learn more about the Catholic faith or becoming Catholic.

Please pray for our candidate on her way towards full communion in the Church this Easter Vigil, March 31. 

Although it is primarily the process by which people become fully initiated members in the Roman Catholic Church, OCIA welcomes inquirers at all levels of knowledge, faith, and intent.

Over a series of meetings involving talks and group discussion, these adults take time to properly discern the exciting possibility of journeying into full communion with the Church through one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist).
