The Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a day set aside to celebrate the first moment of the life of Our Lady, and in particular the gracious act of God to preserve her from original sin.
It is also the patronal feast day of the United States. While typically a holy day of obligation, it is not this year in the Archdiocese of St. Paul in Minneapolis due to a dispensation from Archbishop Bernard Hebda.
We will celebrate Mass at our usual 8:15am time, as well as a special Mass by Candlelight at 7pm. Please also join us for a presentation by Fr. John Paul Erickson at 6pm in the church entitled How to Celebrate Like a Catholic, as part of our three-day Advent Days of Recollection.
(Transferred from December 8 in deference to the 2nd Sunday of Advent)
