This year, two sessions of Nativity of Our Lord’s Grief Support Group will be offered, one in the fall (September 17 - December 3) and one in the spring (January 7 - April 15). Each session meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. (This meeting moved from 11/5 to accommodate the election)
The group is open to anyone experiencing any loss in their lives. Some examples are the loss of a loved one or a job, an illness, or a separation or divorce.
Everyone’s journey with grief is unique, but it is often eased when sharing with and receiving support from others. You can join the group whenever you are able. You do not need to wait for the next session. Grief is not scheduled.
The Grief Group uses the full curriculum from the “Seasons of Hope” materials, including a journal. Maria Tice Tienter, R.N. and seasoned grief support group leader, is the facilitator.
Our hope is to simply create a confidential, safe, and non-judgmental atmosphere to provide comfort in your time of sorrow. We simply wish for you to come and find support along your journey of healing.
