On Monday, July 26, Grandparents Apostolate celebrates the Feast of Ss. Joachim and Anne, its Tenth Anniversary, and World Day for Grandparents and Elders as promulgated by Pope Francis.
All grandparents are invited to one and a half hours of enrichment, encouragement, prayer, and fellowship highlighted by a presentation by the Rev. Fr. Joseph Bambenek, Assistant Director of the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocesan Synod and Co-Founder of the Grandparents Apostolate.
His topic will be The Archdiocesan Synod: Shaping the Local Church to Form Our Grandchildren.
Sign-up begins at 8:45am in Steiner Hall on the church's lower level (1938 Stanford Ave.), and refreshments will be served. Join other grandparents for Mass with the parish at 8:15am in the (upper level) church if you’re able. A handicap-accessible elevator is available on Prior Ave. with access to both levels.
