Archbishop Hebda has asked all archdiocesan parishes to join with U.S. Catholics to take up an emergency collection for those suffering from the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
On August 14, a massive 7.2 magnitude quake hit Haiti, leveling homes and businesses and leaving many without shelter or food. Hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed. Haiti, still struggling from the damaging earthquake of 2010, was also hit by Tropical Storm Grace, adding to the devastation.
Your help is critical for our Haiti brothers and sisters desperate to survive. Your gift will be forwarded to the U.S. Bishops’ Emergency Disaster Fund, created to support relief efforts through Catholic Relief Services in situations like the one in Haiti.
Please offer what you can during our 2nd collection this weekend, or you can also donate at www.centerformission.org/contribute-donation-form.
Thank you!
