Nativity of Our Lord is proud to host the 3rd Annual Cana Dinner, a couples’ evening celebrating the sacrament of Marriage.

The evening will include Mass with the parish at 5pm in the church, followed by a catered dinner and program downstairs in Steiner Hall. There will also be a blessing offered for all of our married couples in attendance.
This year, Dale and Laura Ahlquist (pictured below) will present, “A Duel to the Death” — A Chestertonian View of Marriage.
Dale and Laura Ahlquist have been married for 39
years and have six children. They been involved in the great adventure of running a Catholic school and a lay apostolate together. They will present some amusing and surprising insights from both G.K. Chesterton and from their own experiences.
Dale is President of the Society of Gilbert Keith Chesterton, Publisher of Gilbert Magazine, and creator and host of the EWTN television series, “The Apostle of Common Sense.” He is the author of five books and has editor of ten. He is the co-founder of Chesterton Academy in Hopkins, Minnesota, which was named one of the top 50 Catholic High Schools in the United States, and is the President of the Chesterton Schools Network, which now includes over 20 classical secondary schools in America, Canada, and Italy.
Laura is the Academic Dean at Chesterton Academy as well the Dean of Fine Arts. She’s been involved in almost all aspects of the school since it started from running the business office to running the theater department, including directing over 40 plays (20 of which were written by Dale).
