40 Days for Life

You are invited to participate in our fall 40 Days for Life campaign! 

All are encouraged to join in daily prayer for an end abortion, especially in our state and community, and attend our events, beginning with the first day’s kickoff prayer stroll and happy hour.

Come out and peacefully pray anytime at the Planned Parenthood on Vandalia from 6am-6pm during the campaign, September 28 - November 6.
 

40 Days Kickoff Events | Wednesday,  September 28

We especially encourage those with babies or toddlers in strollers to stroll in front of Planned Parenthood on Vandalia St. in quiet prayer from 9am-12pm on the opening day.  These little precious ones are powerful witnesses to those in distress.

That afternoon, meet us at Davanni’s at Cleveland and Grand Aves. for a delicious kickoff and early dinner from 4-5:30pm and learn more about this important movement.

Following the kickoff, anyone who is able will head to Planned Parenthood for the opening prayer vigil at 6pm, hosted by Pro-Life Action Ministries.
 

Equipped for Life | Saturday, October 1, 8:30am-4:30pm

Adopted Days of Vigil | October 5, 18

Nativity of Our Lord, Church of St. Mark, and friends from neighboring parishes have adopted two days for the campaign:

• Wednesday, October 5 (Feasts of St. Faustina Kowalska and Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos) and
• Tuesday, October 18 (St. Luke).

Closing Vigil | Sunday, November 6, 3pm

As the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign concludes, we wish to thank everyone who persists in praying daily for an end to abortion, and to those who came to witness and pray on the sidewalks of Planned Parenthood on our adopted and clergy-led prayer days.

As of October 20, we know of 163 innocent lives that have been saved from abortion due to the prayerful witness of so many outside abortion clinics worldwide. Please continue heading to the sidewalk to peacefully pray, and join Pro-Life Action Ministries at the Closing Vigil at 3pm on Sunday, November 6.

Prayer and love are changing hearts and minds and many precious lives are being saved through the incredible worldwide 40 Days for Life movement.
