Want to Evangelize at the Fair?

The St. Paul Street Evangelization group (Minnetonka chapter) will be coming back to the Nativity County Fair on Saturday, September 16 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, September 17 from 11:30am-5pm. STPSE is a fast growing group designed to “sow the seeds,” with non-Christians, non-Catholics, fallen away Catholics, or active Catholics about the Catholic Faith. It is one answer to the Pope St. John Paul II's call for a New Evangelization!

Their approach is low key. Typically they ask folks if they would like a rosary, and, if they say yes, they are asked to pick out a rosary of their choosing and are asked if they know how to pray it. If they do not know the prayer, the STPSE member provides a pamphlet, and also asks them if they would like a miraculous medal as well (both the rosary and the medals are blessed prior to the Fair). They also ask the person if they have a prayer request and if so the request is later prayed for in the Adoration Chapel or on the spot if the person chooses.

As like last year, the STPSE members will cover the booth hours but they are grateful to have us “shadow” them to see how it is done. This is a great opportunity to share your faith – even if we are “preaching to the choir” for the most part.
