Twin Cities Marathon Detour Information

The Twin Cities Marathon may affect your route to church this weekend, as parts of Summit Avenue will be closed Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6.

In particular, you will not be able to cross Summit on Sunday from approximately 6:40 a.m. until approx. 2:30 p.m. However, Ayd Mill Road will cross uninterrupted underneath, as usual.

If you would typically cross Summit and are coming from the:

• North and Northwest: Take Ayd Mill (accessible from Hamline Ave. at Ashland Ave. and eastbound Selby Ave. at Paschal St.) south/southeast to Grand Ave., then go west. (Note: St. Clair Ave. is closed west of Snelling). Then, head south at Prior Ave.
• Northeast: Take 35E south to Randolph Ave., then go west. Then, head north at Prior Ave.

Note: Both Ford Parkway and Lake Street cross the course without interruption on the Minneapolis side of the river.

Finally, please expect more traffic in general (foot traffic as well as vehicles) due to race activity.
