Dear parishioners and friends, grace and peace be to you in Christ Jesus Our Lord.
Today is Stewardship Sunday, our annual opportunity to reflect on the considerable gifts we’ve been given, individually and collectively, and how we are being invited to cultivate those gifts for God’s good purposes.
This week, registered parishioners received in the mail our annual financial report and mission update, both of which speak to God’s blessings here at Nativity of Our Lord and the generous response of our parishioners to his goodness.
(If you are not registered and would like to be, or would simply like to receive the documents, please contact the parish office at (651) 696-5401 or
info@nativity-mn.org. They are also available
here.)
This year’s Stewardship theme is “Answering the Call,” drawn directly from our new parish mission statement (now a permanent fixture on the opposite page). Indeed, our mission here at Nativity is to help “each person answer the call of Jesus Christ to serve as his disciple.”
God has called each one of us — personally — to follow him as his disciple. No one is exempt or left out! This is a great gift, and also a great responsibility, one that demands a response. I invite you to make a commitment today to answer Our Lord’s call here at Nativity.
In particular, I invite you to make a financial commitment to help our parish carry out our mission in the coming calendar year. If you’ve given financially in the past, thank you! Please consider repeating your gift, perhaps with increase.
If you haven’t given in the past, I invite you to give this year — even a small gift — according to your means.
The clergy and staff here at Nativity are committed to being good stewards of parish finances, and we continue to be on good financial footing.
Our hope in the future lies in the generous response of parishioners like you to answer Our Lord’s call to serve him and support the mission here at Nativity of Our Lord.
May God continue to bless you and your family.
