Rose Christy is a High Honor Roll student at Visitation who has taken numerous AP and honors classes. She is a natural leader and is active in Eucharistic Ministry, Student Council, Peer Mentors, Leadership Committee, and Service Club. Rose is the recipient of the Presidential Gold Service Award for extraordinary commitment to volunteer work. She plays hockey, lacrosse, and tennis and enjoys reading, running, Spirit of Mary Award and hiking. Rose is a nanny every day after school and also works at St. Patrick’s Guild. She volunteers at the Minnesota Children’s Museum, Trout Lake Bible Camp, Visitation Volunteer Help, Feed My Starving Children, and throughout Nativity parish.
Rose is welcoming to all, offers an easy smile to the stranger, and looks for opportunities to serve both in her school community as well as to the larger community. She is modest in her accomplishments and effusive with her compliments and words of support to others.

Each year the NCCW recognizes an outstanding young woman with the Spirit of Mary Award. The award winner must have demonstrated acts of faith, humility, generosity, and kindness through her school, parish, and community involvement. Female parishioners who are currently seniors in high school may apply or may be nominated. The award is a cash prize of $500, with $100 designated to the winner’s charity of choice.
