Katherine Berthiaume is a President’s List Honors student at Cretin-Derham Hall. She journeyed on a Mission trip to Guatemala and participates in the LaSallian Youth project and the High School American Red Cross Blood Drive. Katie has been a Girl Scout since Kindergarten, earning the Silver, Bronze, and Junior Aide Awards. She is an accomplished gymnast, competing at the varsity level for three years in high school and earning the Best Spirit Award, and she also plays volleyball and softball. Katie loves cooking, physical fitness, crafts, sewing, knitting, crocheting and fishing. She coaches gymnastics for the City of St. Paul and works for State Farm Insurance, as a school maintenance and lunch room worker, and an off-site concession worker. She volunteers at Nativity as an altar server and NCCW bulk-mailing assistant, Feed My Starving
Children, and in the city-wide park clean-up.
Katie offers her friendship without expectations…she finds joy and fun in every situation…she is generous in her loyalty but never seek reward or acclaim…she never shrinks from doing the “right thing” even when the tide is against her.
