In an effort to accommodate our parishioners who experience an extreme intolerance to gluten, we now have a limited number of low-gluten hosts available for the distribution of Holy Communion. There will be a special pyx attached to the ciborium of the priest who is the main celebrant of the mass. The main celebrant is typically at the front nearest the presider’s chair. (One exception: for the 9:30am Sunday mass downstairs in Steiner Hall, the main celebrant is typically on the ambo side.) If you are in need of one of the low-gluten hosts, please join the presider’s line to receive Holy Communion and indicate to the priest that you wish to receive a low-gluten host. This decision has come as the result of much discussion, and due to cost concerns, we do ask that these lowgluten hosts be reserved for those who experience an extreme intolerance to gluten.
