As pastor of Nativity of Our Lord, my primary responsibility is to help you grow as disciples of Jesus Christ and to equip you to go and make disciples of others. It’s for that reason that I’m most excited for the
Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey in which we’re participating beginning this weekend as part of the Archdiocesan Synod Process.
The survey is much more than simply gathering data — it will enable our parishioners to reflect on their own spiritual growth and discipleship, and identify the ways in which the parish effectively supports that growth currently, and how we can improve in that regard moving forward.
The web-based survey is open now until March 1. The preferred method is to use your smartphone, tablet, or computer and visit
www.disciplemakerindex.com to complete the survey, as this will be the best and most efficient way for us to tabulate the results. There is also a link on the front page of our parish website at
https://nativity-mn.org/.
Hard copies are also available at the entrances to the church as
well as at the parish office, and can be returned in the collection plate or at the parish office. If you would like to receive a hard copy by mail, please contact Tim Huberty, our parish secretary and survey coordinator — as well as 36-year marketing research vet — at
info@nativity-mn.org or (651) 696-5401.
The survey is relatively short and should take just 10-15 minutes to complete.
At the completion of the survey, our parish will receive an aggregate report of the results, as will the Archdiocese. We will NOT have access to individual, confidential survey responses. This survey offers us a unique and important opportunity to learn about what’s most important to you and your families in a confidential and professional way.
And this survey couldn’t come at a better time, as we are in the midst of our
One Nativity 2035 collaborative planning process. These results will be highly informative as we continue to identify opportunities to support parishioner growth in discipleship, and articulate goals and action plans to achieve that growth.
The results will be invaluable to me, our parish leadership, and the One Nativity 2035 process, as well as to Archbishop Hebda and the
2021 Archdiocesan Synod. This is why I’m asking that every parishioner — young and old — complete the survey and to do so as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this important endeavor! If you have any questions, please feel free to approach me or contact Tim Huberty, parish secretary and survey coordinator, at
info@nativity-mn.org or (651) 696-5401.
