I’m writing today thankful for the wonderful Christmas that we shared and in joyful anticipation of the coming year.
Thank you for your generosity
I want to thank all parishioners who made Christmas brighter for others in so many ways
—donating to the Keystone Food Shelf, putting a gift beneath the Giving Tree, giving blood at the NCCW blood drive, staffing or supporting Tree Lot, spending an hour in Adoration, and so much more!
Again this year, the School’s Christmas sharing with Holy Rosary (Santo Rosario) parish in the Phillips neighborhood of Minneapolis yielded trunk loads of food, personal care item, toys and more. Thank you all.
Marriage Enrichment Opportunities
As the new year approaches we often ask ourselves how this new start can be meaningful, can deepen our faith life, and strengthen the bond with our spouses and families. In response to these hopes, I again this year strongly recommend two Nativity offerings which will bring refreshed love and joy into your faith life, marriage, and family.
On Saturday, January 26, Nativity of Our Lord will host The Second Annual Cana Dinner, a couples’ evening celebrating the sacrament of marriage. Over 90 couples registered for last year’s dinner, and the love, laughter, and blessings overflowed.
This year, the evening will include Mass in the church and couples’ blessing, followed by a catered dinner and a presentation by parishioner Christina Crow in Steiner Hall.
Registration is now open for $25 per couple, which includes dinner, dessert, and complimentary beverages. Registration is also available by calling the parish office at (651) 696-5401.
Then, please consider joining in a five-week course beginning on Thursday, March 7, entitled “Marriage in Christ,” a seminar teaching necessary skills to build a foundation for a strong and lasting Christian marriage. The series will include learning how to pray together as a couple, act in loving ways, and build habits of love—all in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The Marriage in Christ seminar takes place in Steiner Hall on March 7, 14, 21, 28, and April 4, each at 6:30-8:30pm. This seminar was sold out last year, so
register online today!
I wish you and your family a blessed new year.
